Leading up to First Place…
What a game last night!! As usual the atmosphere was amazing thanks to La Barra Brava, Screaming Eagles, La Norte and District Ultras. Though the numbers for attendance showed only 14,627, the D.C. crowd along with the supporters group made it sound like there were at least 40,000 in attendance. I kept looking to the upper level to see if it was occupied.
D.C. United definitely has the best supporters in America hands down The Few… The Proud… The True Fans! We started the day early by stopping by Lot 8 for the United for D.C. festivities, In particular the dunk tank. You see, I had a bone to pick with senor Roche because I really disagree with his impatient view on the Bosko matter, lol so I wanted to cool him down with a dunk or two. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to do that. Anyway, moving on, while we were there we saw quite a few people and took a few pics.
We made our way back to the stadium and had a few sightings of players and former players. We also had a Roche sighting heading to his dunk tank demise. That was very interesting.
We got to our usual warm-ups spot and made a few observations like the return of some players like DeLion King and Dudar. It gave me the warm and fuzzies…lol.
Picked up some tasty Pupusas de queso (No fries) and made our way to our seats. So, Venus and I were discussing why was it that Rene Guzman’s ‘Welcome to The District’ was not playing and of course it starts to play and we go crazy!! I love that song!!I’m so proud of him; he represents the DCU fandom well.
Now the game starts and RFK goes wild!!!

good point on Boskovic. He is quality and with him, DCU can lift trophies.
BBklynite and the Gunslinger. Hilarious on Charlie Davies return. Is he coming back? It is funny, about Boskovic, he slightly reminds me of RVP. For many seasons RVP was really hated, but wenger stood by him and we know what happened last season in the EPL. PErhaps Boskovic will do it for DCU.
DCU need this season to lift trophies so we can maybe get a new stadium.
Charlie Davies is not coming back, I believe that he was here during his offseason to visit folks. He became pretty close with quite a few of the players during his stay here. That is a pretty interesting comparison between RVP and Bosko. Good thing for RVP he has more time to win one with Arsenal. Hopefully (Like what you said) Bosko is granted more time to lift a trophy with DCU.
hopefully, best set piece kicker, that is needed. Did you see DeRo against the USA. all three canadian opportunities was through him
