Leading up to First Place…

What a game last night!! As usual the atmosphere was amazing thanks to La Barra Brava, Screaming Eagles, La Norte and District Ultras. Though the numbers for attendance showed only 14,627, the D.C. crowd along with the supporters group made it sound like there were at least 40,000 in attendance. I kept looking to the upper level to see if it was occupied.

D.C. United definitely has the best supporters in America hands down The Few… The Proud… The True Fans!  We started the day early by stopping by Lot 8 for the United for D.C. festivities, In particular the dunk tank. You see, I had a bone to pick with senor Roche because I really disagree with his impatient view on the Bosko matter, lol so I wanted to cool him down with a dunk or two. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to do that. Anyway, moving on, while we were there we saw quite a few people and took a few pics.

We made our way back to the stadium and had a few sightings of players and former players. We also had a Roche sighting heading to his dunk tank demise. That was very interesting.

We got to our usual warm-ups spot and made a few observations like the return of some players like DeLion King and Dudar. It gave me the warm and fuzzies…lol.

Picked up some tasty Pupusas de queso (No fries) and made our way to our seats. So, Venus and I were discussing why was it that Rene Guzman’s ‘Welcome to The District’ was not playing and of course it starts to play and we go crazy!! I love that song!!I’m so proud of him; he represents the DCU fandom well.

Now the game starts and RFK goes wild!!!
