Sign The Petition

Hey, I just signed the petition “Keep D.C. United: Residents & fans for economic development at Buzzard Point” and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name. Our goal is to reach 500 signatures and we need more support. Wanna read my post?  Here it is:

If I could sign this petition five hundred times myself, I would. Why? Because I’ve never seen a sports team (not just a soccer team) do so much for the community. I’ve seen this team go out into the community a day after a loss and take pictures with kids as if that is what they live for. They unite with our community and get into programs with our Military and their families. They participate in fundraisers that help out a wide range of organizations to obtain their needs to include food and healthcare equipment. They represent D.C. Take away the D.C. and you take away the United, not only the community but also in the team. They have waited patiently for what should have been granted to them from the beginning. A soccer stadium is not something a professional soccer team should earn, but something that should be provided to them the moment they’ve reached that level. If you downgrade the MLS, what results do you expect to see? Give them what they deserve and see what you’ll get in return.

You can also call D.C. Mayor Gray and ask him to sit down with D.C. United and develop a stadium to Keep DC United:
